Here's a picture that I just found of the kinds of places that the big boars run to when dogs are after them. It's usually the most dense, thorniest, almost impenetrable thicket where they choose to fight their battles. Not easy on dogs...especially when it takes so long for you to get in there.

Man that stuff brings back nightmares. I pushed through a buch of stuff like that one day after the dogs, and finially thought I was through it, but just made it into an area about 10' around. The problem was the dogs turned this big boar I had already shot twice and ran it straight to me. There was no going back as the limbs all were facing me making a return trip impossible. Same stuff you got pictured there. Luckily for me the thing made a hard right just at the outskirts of the hole I was in, and as he past me my friend put him down for good. He hollered here he comes right to you LOL. All I could hear was a mad hog coming and dogs on his tail. My bud asked, so what did you think when I hollered here he comes. I replied I had six rounds and one of us wasn't comin out of that little clearing. Mike / Tx
