Well, just arrived from a friend's farm. The crops are just harvested and it's easier to stalk pigs at night with full moon. The place is big so I park the truck in a higher spot and climbed in the back. The best thing is to wait for the pigs to make the first move, foxes, deers and some species of birds that live in the ground give the alarm voice when pigs (or something) is roaming around. At 2 am the night was very silent and it seems we will return empty handed so we decided to take a walk between the forest and the crops. We have walked near half an hour when we heard some scared birds in the direction we have left the truck so we return quickly and climbed on the back of the truck again to do some glassing. The field was bright and yellow under the moonlight (wheat crop harvested) so it was easy to see two black spots moving fast from left to wright. We jumped from the truck and started walking quickly trying to cut the path the pigs were taking. During half an hour with a very uncertain wind we stalk them till we get aprox. 70 metres from them. When I raised my rifle I saw through the scope that they were just to fly away so I didn't wait for my neighbour and I went BANG 5 times and I make contact three times We ended gutting them as the sun was raising and we celebrate with a very cold BUD beer that we always carry in a cool box for these events The rifle was a Remington with Remington Factory ammo corelokt 150 grainers. Honestly I was impressed how devastating the bullets performance was. I have not slept yet and I have a party tonight... but how I explain my wife I'm tired.. L

Thank guys. 3 am here and I have just arrived from the party. A couple of whiskies and all those beatiful ladies dancing around and I forget that I haven't slept the night before because of hunting. Obviously THE BOSS (my wife) decided it was enough whisky and dancing for me so she brought me home early. This trick never fail, if you want to return home early and have some sleep, start drinking and smiling every señorita around and you will be in bed and snoring very soon L

Thanks. It's a very easy set up and easy to carry by road when disasembled. A few metres from the floor helps a lot to see far away and if the wind changes you just change places. Step I Step II Step III L

Yep, sounds just like a guy I used to duck hunt with.........he was known as "Bang, bang, bang, Take 'em John." Congrats on a good hunt. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Great shooting! Nice rig! Is night vision legal in your country? I have done a few night vision hog hunts in Texas and it is a blast!!! When catapults are outlawed, only outlaws will have catapults!

For good or bad we never know what is legal or not in our third world countries... And you know how we latins are, if we know the law it doesn't means that we will follow it.. Sometimes I wondered how South America would look like today if we have been conquered by anglosaxons instead of by latins... As you said, night vision is a blast !! I daydream with using one of those thermal scopes you have there in the States !! Take a look at youtube and search for "thermal scope pig hunting" L

Swedes is the most leagal people in hole world, we never do something forbidden. And if it is not forbidden, we ask if it is legal. If South America have been conquered of Swedes, you had world highest tax, no fun at all, and all people only do legal things. LOL! Matts

Mike, thanks for the video !!! That is how things work down here Gato, "Bang bang, bang, Take'em John"... Yes, it was something like that. After all the shooting was done and with only a couple of small pigs running like hell towards the horizon I turned round and asked my partner: "why you didn't shoot ??? " L

Pretty hogs! I just got permission to hunt a farm that is only 40 miles south of where I live instead of the 210 miles I usually drive. The only stipulation is that I have to use shotguns with slugs. I am just about set up in that department, I just have to put a scope on the second shotgun. Those hogs sure are clean, no mud on em I mean. Leftists are intellectually vacant, but there is no greater pleasure than tormenting the irrational.
