Went to my lease in Vanderpool this past weekend. It was opening weekend of bow season and I recently lost two freezers of venison, pork and shrimp. Good thing its bow season as I lost all my game meat. We didn't get there until late saturday night. Got up sunday am and I shot a doe with my matthews fx . Nice young doe sure will taste good. We keep game cameras set out most of the time. This ol' boy had been coming to my buds stand pretty consistantly. He thought he would try to stick him with an arrow sunday evening if he came out. This ol' boar came out about 20 minutes before dark. He got within 8 yds of my bud. Jamie said he could hear him, see him and even smell him but it was like there was an invisible line the boar would not cross. The boar hung around about 15 minutes but never presented a shot. He stayed in the cedar and never would come out. He finally moseyed off and my bud came on in. Well there's always next time. I reminded my bud that I've always been lucky when it comes to killin' and that he needed to let me set his tripod next time and I'd kill it for him. I won't repeat what he said but I think you can get his drift. These pix aren't the best as they were taken with a low resolution wild view camera ($49) but they were enough to get my juices flowing

Geedubya,

Condolences on the freezers full of meat! Ike was painful in that way. (I lost abt 100 pounds of Bison, venison, and piggie in a freezer in Webster.)

These piggies seem to be teasin' you. Good luck nailing them ... and filling the freezer!
