I have been hunting this boar for several months, and he finally made a fatal mistake tonight. I shot him with my Blaser R-93 Professional Tracker in 308 topped with a Leupold VX III 1.5-5 illuminated reticle loaded with 170 gr round nose Corelokt, 46.5 grs Varget, CCI 250 primer in Lapua brass.

He ran a short distance, and I had to get my Lab pup, Annie, to locate him for me. I tried to weigh him, but he bottomed out my 200 pound scale. I estimate him to be between 250 and 275 pound.

That's a very nice lookin' hog there Jeff...That's a lot of SWEET MEAT right there!!!

Did you clean his wife's JEWELS from him earlier or did another rancher/hunter nearby as I see his ears are decorated....

Man that makes for SWEET MEAT!!!!!!

BTW how is your 6.5x55mm doing I just finish scoping mine a couple days ago and hopefully my son's McGowen barrel will be here soon so I can get it twisted up fast and check it out too!

Jeff,
Looks like you're doing all the good. Great rifle, fine boar and good looking pooch. But you need to be sure and leave some for future fun.

I actually haven't had my 6.5x55 barrel out since deer season ended. The 120 gr Corelokts sure worked for me.
