I killed this one this evening with my Blaser Professional Tracker 308 at 100 yards. She weighed 85 pounds.

Jeff how do you like the short sight radius on that rifle?
Is it a problem at all? or would you change it if you could?
I just have never seen one that short deliberately, and wonder why they would do so.

Oh, and congratulations on the hog, apparently it does not bother you that much..

I am not a practiced open sight shooter, but I am making an effort to change that. I love this little barrel. It is so handy and fits perfectly in the front rack of my 4 wheeler. The short sight radius is not a problem.

Pigs are quite plentiful, but they are nomadic and generally hard to pattern for hunting. I use game cameras and have had some success as you can see. The young pigs like these are more predictable and easier to hunt. This group is very destructive, and I am working to eliminate them or at least run them off my place.

This group started out with 7 members, but they are now down to 4. I shot this one last night but didn't have a light to go look for it, so I took Annie out this morning to find it for me. I may not have mentioned here, but Annie had a run in with a tire on my hay trailer in December. After a surgery and a $650 vet bill, she is pretty much back to normal, and it definitely hasn't effected her nose.
