I'm sure it would do in a pinch, heck the guys I hunt with use pocket knives to slit the hogs throat. But for a true sticker, I think the blade should be at least 7" long, 8" would be better. Most guys I talk to would like to see somekind of pronounced guard to keep the hand from sliping onto the blade. Other than that it looks great, nice knife.
