about a 110-120# sow

a VERY nice boar...

Both taken with the 416 AR on my rcent vacation...
400gr old hornady softs, just over 2400 FPS

sow taken at about 85 yards, turned as I was shooting, hit her back, but in the ribs.... the bullet obviously hit bot, detonated, and spilt her belly from sternum to tail....

second shot right behind the ear....

Boar... sitting around, just before dark... he comes trotting up, crosswind of all things ....

just as happy as can be... gave him one behind the ear as he turned his head, bullet didn't exit, but went all the way down him.

fun times...

jeffe-glad I didn't have to dress that sow for you. I would imagine it was a messy smelly job. Sounds like one for Mike--

Well, you've got your rifle to kill your game and draw it. Can skinning and quartering be far behind?

Good shooting.
