My 7-30 Waters Cntender got to bark twice this weekend. I took a large boar right at dark Sunday from about 230 yards and a somewhat smaller (but still good-sized) rogue at the crack of dawn Monday from about 160. The boar Sunday rolled down a steep embankment and made for a dicey retrieval, so there are no photos as time was of the essence once help arrived. The one from Monday dropped in its tracks with a tight, behind-the-shoulder shot. Both had virtually the same shot placement. Both bullets exited, leaving quite a bit of damage behind, though the actual exits were small (nickel-sized on both), typical of what the 140 grain C-T BST has been doing for me at this velocity level. Hey Bobby, Change the lyrics just a little and this could be your theme song. Keep on whackin' and stackin' in good health! Best GWB | |||
