Does anyone know anything about Browning brand scopes. Were they of good quality? Who made them for Browning?

They are made by Bushnell for them and are a variant of the 3200.

Sorry, Let me clarify. I was wondering about the older Browning scopes that are pre the B&L 3200 scopes. I was not aware that Browning was even selling scopes anymore. Thanks.

The Browning scopes of yesteryear were made by Redfield. Some of them were identical (other than brand markings) to corresponding scopes in the Redfield line, while others differed just a little. For example, Browning advertised its standard fixed power scope as a "5X", having presumably just a tad more magnification as the standard 4X of the day.

They were the same quality as their contemporary Redfields, which were regarded as the premium scope of their day. (Redfields were priced about $10 higher than the corresponding Leupolds in the 1960's.) There seems to be a bit of collector interest in Browning scopes of that era.

I have a pair of these, 2x7 browning bushnell scopes on a pair fo 458 AR ... they are standing up to 500grs at 2300 in a lead sled, and the bushnell 3200 2x7 (same thing, just says bushnell) is on a 416 AR, that has shot hundreds of rounds, and has held together...

eye relief is pretty darn good
