Sheesh. I know it’s been 9-10 years since I’ve bought a scope, but damn, these prices are rough. I bought a Burris 8-32 for 1200 or so, it’s double or triple that now. Who has the most reasonable price for a 30+ illuminated reticle that won’t fall apart in a year?

Have the tariffs kicked in yet? When they do it will embolden local makers to lift their prices, too. If you want something that won't break soon, may I suggest you look for one that doesn't have an articulated erector set? In target scopes that means nothing made since 2006 when Pecar closed. The last true believers in the USA were Unertl (the family, not the Las Vegas decadence) and Bausch & Lomb before the Bushnell reverse takeover. I don't think you'll find illumination anywhere there, though, and old Redfields don't qualify as they were image-movement from the get-go. A friend was chuffed to find an old Weaver target scope for $50 and seems happy - but Bill changed to constantly centred reticle about 1957, just after Redfield took over from Kollmorgen.
