| rings are both ruger #4. its not the rings that are diff. heights, its the "bases" that are built in, part of the reciever. |

| Something is not right with your set of rings. A proper set of ruger rings for their bolt rifles will have 1 ring that is taller than the other. That makes up for the difference in height between the front and rear of the receiver. Call Ruger, they will almost certainly make your set of rings right. |

| Ruger factory rings come in sizes 3,4,5 and 6. The front ring is always one size lower than the rear ring. Most rifles leave the factory with a Medium pair (4 Front, 5 Rear). |
