Hello Fellow Shooters!!!!!!! wave
Getting ready to build up a T/C G2 pistol in 222rem and wanted to scope it up with a decent scope.
I own from Tasco pronghorn up to Lepoold VXIII and Burris Signature. I have not had a Nikon as of yet and wanted to know, out of the two below which would you pick and why?
Thanks for the input!! beer

[/QUOTE}Nikon is the better scope.[QUOTE]

Both you guys are off your bleeding rocker.

I've never had to use Burris warranty dept. but have heard many wonderful things, especially in the past few years. They might've sucked years ago, but from having talked to them on many occasions they seem like excellent folks. Did have a problem with a buddies scope couple years ago, talked to Larry and told me to have my buddy send it in, the scope was back in less than 10 days, fixed(Stuck Windage Problem).

Now, getting back to Burris vs. Nikon thing. I took a drive over to Gander and while they didn't have any Nikons in stock they did have a 2-7 Burris, took it outside and glassed everything in the area, billbords, business signs, etc. etc. The scope was excellent in all the areas where one might judge a scope. I did take 2x20 Leupold and a Burris in the same 2x20 configuration, and it was handsdown Burris being the better scope, not even close. Can't believe Leupold made such junk, maybe the particular scope was a bad speciman, should've took the other 2x20 Leupold they had and looked through that one, might've been a different story. So my conclusion is: The Burris 2-7 is an excellent scope from my findings, anyway.

Nikon is the better scope, lol you been sniffin them bus fumes again down in Milwaukee?

I don't know about that Jay. In my opinion, Burris customer services has went down hill in the last few years. We have dealt with them several times and the customer service people have been grumpy and rude. They have lost packages that we have sent them and actually add to send them tracking numbers to verify that they have received them, but they insisted that they never got them.

Don't get me wrong they have some nice scopes, but can improve on their customer relations.
