That is so funny I don't really even have a comment. As far as my vast experience with Tasco's.........you only have to pick up a pile of dogshit once to see that it smells.

As far as my uncanny ability to break and lose scopes, that only happens with cheap piece of sh*t Tasco's because I really don't care if I break or lose them. Some of us believe in "you get what you pay for".

Then why did you buy them? Bill T.

That's almost funny, but not quite. I'm sure it ended up in the garbage, where you probably rummaged around and found it. I'm always having bums go through my garbage.

No, I didn't shoot much when I was younger, and couldn't afford anything better so I really didn't have anything to compare them to. Once I did though, I quickly realized how crappy they are. I wish I could find the lost one though.......it would be something fun to shoot at.

Nevrflinch---You didnt know much when younger. Now that you are 13 you obviously view yourself as a complete genius. If you could spell, make complete sentences, and had any tact some might think you had some intellegence. As it stands Neverflinch and any intelligence is an oxymoron.

Actually I live in a very nice part of town. As to what I can afford and can't afford well that's none of your business. As far as knowing how to use scopes, well that's a pretty childish comment.

Once again you speak of me not being able to spell and form complete sentences. I didn't know I was writing a thesis paper. Speaking of forming complete sentences... "You didn't know much when younger" good job there genius. By the way it's Neverflinch, not "Nevrflinch". It's also intelligence not intellegence. Yes I'm embarrassed for you also. I also find it amusing you speak of my intelligence without even knowing me. I have read many of your older posts and can tell you are advanced in age. Someone your age should know better, unless they are below average intelligence themselves. But keep buying those air guns so you can shoot in your tiny backyard, and keep defending those Tasco's. Those of us that can afford more will, and those of us that can't.....well......you get the picture.

Whatever makes you feel better, although I am not sure how we played horse. Must be because of my "intellegence". Nothing can be more embarrassing than making fun of someone's intelligence and actually spelling the word "intelligence" wrong. That's the funniest thing I've ever seen. animal animal animal

Great thread fellas.
I've had jap tascos change quite a bit.
Weaver, I think it was, (anyway a USA steel tube variable) no better.

A VariX 111 3.5-10 moved a fair bit while Leoupolds ads were boasting how their Vari X 11's didn't.

My present Vari-X 11 doesn't move a whisker.

A cheap china Nikko 3-9 I have, (well it wasn't all that cheap, probably because of the adj objective) , well it drops about 1.5" from about 4x to 3x. (on a collimeter.)
So with a 60 metre zero I can wind down to 3x and shoot dead on at 30 metres. (.22rf)

Sorry about all the ( ). The frightning thing is that is how I think.

So see what happens if you live straight, shoot right, and never fib. Smiler

Don't know if there's a better buy on Tasco or not, but if that's what you can afford, then get it. If Carpetman's gunsmith says it compares in any way to leupold then that'd be good enough for me. I have 5 Leupolds and they work great. A lot has to do with your gun, too. I seldom miss, but if i do, its usually because of rushing the shot, i don't automatically blame the equipment.

Those big stars on the tv hunting shows have high dollar equipment and i've noticed the often make poor shots. I know they do because after the animal is down, they don't show at an angle so you see where the shot went. The other day they showed a lady shoot a deer and the deer dropped immediately! That was a kidney shot would be my guess, and from about 50 yards from an elevated stand on a deer ranch. But they didn't show where it hit...must not have been a perfect shot despite the high dollar gear.

Good luck.

Jal

This would be impossible as carpetmans gunsmith says that Tasco's and Leupolds are "about" the only scopes that hold zero through the magnification range. With the sheer amount of time, engineering, and money that went into making your Tasco it is impossible for it not to hold zero. You surely must have dropped it off the empire state building or something of that nature for it not to be perfect.

"Definitely reaching"---That's avoiding the question. Denial? Oh still in closet? Come on now you can tell us,you're amongst friends,we wont tell anyone.
The reach was your stupid childish comments about my gunsmith's drinking that started this. Disagreeing is fine.

I'm sure I've dribbled more p*ssy off my chin than you've had in your entire life. I never knew you were going to take a comment about your gunsmith so personal. I wonder why that is???.......could it be that the two of you have "relations" ?????

By reading your other posts, I can tell you are an old man, yet you act like a four year old. If you have a wife, or any grandchildren, they must be very proud. Keep buying those Tasco's. animal

Neverflinch---Where did you get the mistaken idea I ever bought a Tasco? Truth is I do own one. It's a World Class that came with a used rifle I bought. Would have bought the rifle, scope or no scope. Do have the scope on a 22-250 and no problems. You have a .450 and live in Houston????? Expecting a buffalo herd in your trailer park?

Yes I have a .450 and live in Houston. I also hunt Nilgai on a regular basis. Not exactly a Buffalo, but just as tough to bring down.
