I hav a couple of each,
I would have to say the VX3 is an improvment. Its hard to tell any opticle ipmprovment, thats beacuse my eyes are not quite right, but the finger adjutable turrets are definatly better.
I have 2 of the 2.5X8s one is a duplex and one a boone and crocket.
Good scopes but i do not think I would opt for the B&C again, unless I was planning on real looong range shootin...tj3006

VX-III is the new scope, VariX-III is the old one. (didn't know if you new that). Rumor is that the new VX-II is the old VarX-III. Not sure how accurate that is, but that's just what I've heard.

The B&C reticle would be nice to have but they are so much more expensive it is a joke.
