I have been using a Burris Landmark 15x45 spotter scope for moderate range work for some years. I would like to do better, but am not ready to step to a Kowa yet, so am looking at these: Leupold Sequoia and Nikon Spotter XL2. The Nikon is a little more expensive and looks like a roof prism. Opinions about the two? How well do they compare? sputster

sputster, I personally think the Nikon Spotter XL is a much better spotting scope than the Sequoia. We have had many customers complain about the quality of the Sequoia and say it is not really worth the money. Jon Jackoviak The Optic Zone - Discount Rifle Scopes, Spotting Scopes and More! I have a Sequoia that I bought last year. I bought it because I trusted the Leupold name, but I wish I hadn't. I can see better through my Leupold VX-III rifle scope than with this spotting scope. In my opinion, I completely wasted my money and wish I had spend a couple more bucks on a better one.
