sputsterSequoia vs Spotter XL
I have been using a Burris Landmark 15x45 spotter scope for moderate range work for some years. I would like to do better, but am not ready to step to a Kowa yet, so am looking at these: Leupold Sequoia and Nikon Spotter XL2. The Nikon is a little more expensive and looks like a roof prism. Opinions about the two? How well do they compare?

Jon Jackoviaksputster,
I personally think the Nikon Spotter XL is a much better spotting scope than the Sequoia. We have had many customers complain about the quality of the Sequoia and say it is not really worth the money.

duckboatI have a Sequoia that I bought last year. I bought it because I trusted the Leupold name, but I wish I hadn't. I can see better through my Leupold VX-III rifle scope than with this spotting scope. In my opinion, I completely wasted my money and wish I had spend a couple more bucks on a better one.
