I think I have all the the scopes I want to pick from with 1 inch tubes. I will put it on a win mod70 custom featherweight 280 Ackley.

If price is not an issue, get the Zeiss. You won't be disappointed.

I'd rate them is this order
1. Zeiss
2. Monarch-4200
4. Sightron SII

All good scopes though, no losers in there.

I agree. If price is not an object, then the Zeiss; otherwise, the Nikon. Not a hard call.

For me, the Monarch represents the best value for the buck. The Conquest does grade out slightly higher in a number of optical categories, but if the truth be known, those differences are so minute that they are almost impossible to detect under hunting conditions.

Zeiss is optical the better than the others, but the Nikon is a great buy for the money.

I own a Conquest and a few Monarchs and agree, the Conquest is the best outright but the Monarch is the best for the money.
