elmerdeerWhich scope should I choose out of these 4?
Bushnell 4200 4x16x40
Sightron SII big sky 4x16x42
Nikon monarh 4x16x42
Zeiss conquest 4.5x14x44
I think I have all the the scopes I want to pick from with 1 inch tubes. I will put it on a win mod70 custom featherweight 280 Ackley.

1. Zeiss
2. Monarch-4200
4. Sightron SII
All good scopes though, no losers in there.

LWDI agree. If price is not an object, then the Zeiss; otherwise, the Nikon. Not a hard call.

For me, the Monarch represents the best value for the buck. The Conquest does grade out slightly higher in a number of optical categories, but if the truth be known, those differences are so minute that they are almost impossible to detect under hunting conditions.

MikeyBI own a Conquest and a few Monarchs and agree, the Conquest is the best outright but the Monarch is the best for the money.
