Hi all,

I've been having an awful time this spring keeping raccoons out of the chickens and the garden. I've decided to repurpose one of my 22 pistols with some sort of micro red dot sight. The pistol (old Star Model F) has a dovetail cut in the slide that fits a 1911 rear sight. Is there some sort of micro red dot that can fit, not slow the slide down enough to cause cycling issues, and hold up to all the slamming? For a budget lets say $50-$150. Doesn't have to be super accurate, most shots are 20-25 feet.

Thanks!

Mark

The Burris 1911 2 piece mount plate fits the dovtail of a GI/factory 1911 and has a curved plate for the top of the slide but the Burris fastfire 3 is about $200.

you might be able to find a comparable Burris/Doctor mount from this list
