1 week and counting

In exactly 1 week my wife and I will be landing in Dubai. We will spend 3 days there, then head to Botswana for 9 days. It will be my first pure plains game hunt in about 10 years and I am looking forward to nice relaxing time. I just hope we don’t get sick on the plane flights!!

If you’re like me, you’ve already packed and re-packed a couple of times. I’ve already started getting ready for my fifth trip to Namibia in May 2019. A big part of the pleasure of an African hunt is the preparation.

Thanks guys. This will be a no pressure, fun hunt as I don’t intend to bring anything back. Just enjoy the Bush and shoot a few representative animals. Old, worn down, and broken horns will be fine.

We are not taking any preventive meds. It’s a non malarial area in the Kalahari desert and I am not worried about Dubai.

Thanks guys. I checked the weather forecast for Dubai from Friday to Monday. 103-109F! Then I checked Maun for the next week. 98-100F! Of course, it’s a “dry heat”

I was here last week...
It was in the 90s in the day..
Check the Ghanzi weather station for current temps.
It was fine in the AM and quite warm in the afternoons (and warming up daily)
