Just had a look at a Google map and where we hunt is 130kms south of lake Bangweulu. If you take the circumference of that then that is a very substantial block of unexplored Africa.

I walked up to this mount at the Texas Taxidermy Convention and just vapor locked! I love lechwes and this thing looks better in real life than the photo shows. I must admit for a moment I thought Ben had jacked with the horns but no, it is the real deal....and a blue ribbon to boot!!
Congr. to both hunter and taxidermist!

Andrew,
When Ben recieved the capes from Zambia he called me and complimented me on the tremendous job I had done skinning the lechwe, particularly the lips. nose and ears. I had to admit that it was not me, it was you. He stated it looked as good as if he had done it himself and later admitted it was a major part of doing as well as he did in the competitions with the mount. Obviously, it truly matters what you have to work with. So, thanks to you my friend for your part in this success.

great pics Andrew, I have very few mounts that everytime I see them bring back memories of the animal when it was alive, this is one. I will never forget the way he looked running along the edge, trapped between me and the deeper water trying to get past me as a hail of gunfire rained down on him. Just the way you planned. tu2
