Anyone ever hunted leopard with Wayne at Nyamazana Safaris? Saw one positive post on AH and one here. I see Cal has hunted with him, but only for ele.

Any experiences?

Have hunted with him twice. Very fair and honest. Fun to be around.

I've hunted Ele and Sable with Wayne, but not leopard.

I do know that Wayne enjoys leopard quite a bit by talking to him, and one of his two main trackers, Sam, has a lot of experience hunting leopard with dogs if you're considering that.

Hunting over dogs would be a blast, if you're in shape and go with them.

When I hunt leopard Wayne will be on the list to consider.

Wayne is first rate in my book and I would hunt with him in a minute.

He only did one thing that was too much to see--at breakfast he puts ketchup on French toast. Gross me out the door! I mean nobody, NOBODY, does that!

Seriously he is a good PH, nice wife and kids and a wonderful home in Bualwayo that is an African hunter's paradise. He will treat you right. Sam and Cowboy are two nice, friendly, and personable staff.

Just remember, when the French toast is served, eat in your tent!
Cal

I have taken a couple of elephant and a leopard with Wayne. The leopard was a target of opportunity, as we were actually hunting hyena. As such, I'm not sure I am the best reference for a targeted leopard hunt.

Wayne does have a good record with leopard at a reasonable price. Ditto on what has been said about Sam, Cowboy, and Wayne's family.

I prefer chasing buffalo in grass than fish!

I actually enjoy spearfishing.

And I got more wounds from that than from the hundreds of buffalo, lions, elephants, leopards, hippos etc I have shot.

I hit a very large grouper, and he took off along the corals. Dragging me along while the corals were doing a great job of de-skinning my arms and legs!

By the time I managed to get hold of a large rock and stop my break neck coral marathon my arms, legs and swimming trunks were in tatters!

We made a fire and BBQed him right there on the beach.

I did not look so great as I had to put Iodine on my wounds to stop any infection.

One of my very kind friends said "all that paint does not improve your looks! You are still very ugly"

That Saeed, is known as "canned" fishing, in dams or rivers that have been stocked with fish bred and grown in commercial hatcheries, similar to canned Lions and "put & take" hunting. Big Grin
