Never done it, but if I was considering doing it I would probably start with an email to Candy or Martin Pieters seeing what they could help line up:

I went in early July.

Belinda Cooke set it up.

The guide was a good guy and had a decent boat and tackle.

We boated 5 tigers and had a doz other follows.

Pm me if you want Belinda's info.

As somebody already mentioned, I'm sure Candie Peters can help as well.

EDIT: Here is Belinda's email if that is of interest:

Belinda and Richard Cooke are a great choice. Rich is an avid fly fisherman and spends a bunch of time on the river with a good friend Kevin Hogan. Kevin guides from time to time (and writes for us), though his real job keeps him away from the river more than he would like. The pair of them often climb down into the gorge below the Falls, spend a night and fish hard - tigerfish, but also yellowfish.

Depending on time of year (July to September is good), our indigenous Largemouth bream - known as the Nembwe, Yellow Belly or Robbie (Serranachromis robustus) is an exciting fish to catch. It looks a lot like the American bass, and takes the same kind of lures pitched into the mangrove-type overhangs along the river, and behind current breaks - lay-downs, rocks etc - in the fast current. They do not jump like a bass, but give one helluva fight, especially in the current. Our Zim record stands at around eight pounds, but they get up to 13-14lbs. Take a few Rapala-type sick baits and small heavy, single blade spinnerbaits (dark colours - browns and blacks as they imitate crabs the Nembwe eat) if you go. You will not be sorry. The tiger take all these lures too so a great, varied day out can be planned.

The PH i was hunting with and I last July spent a half day fishing with a gentlemen named Joseph Rainsford.

Everything went smooth. Car picked us up at the hotel on time, nice boat and gear, caught a few fish and had a nice day. Watch out for the hippo, they are every where.

Joseph's email is vicfallsfishing@yahoo.com or joecric@yahoo.com

Tigerfishing...

Fishing has never really ringed a bell for me but fishing for tigerfish is something I would love to try.
Isn´t really just to buy rod n´hooks...rent a car in the airport and rush to the nearest river and push the luck?. Can I assume no need for a PF(Professional Fisher) to guide the lure with alone with fishingrod armed government guards to assist??...
