Ant,

Thanks very much for that, really do appreciate it. Let's hope that people take the time to watch it.

Steve,

Thanks for the offer and look forward to seeing your new website.

Anyone else out there that is interested, feel free to embed the movie or send the link out.

Read the thread about what EU is doing right now !

This information becomes more vital along the way...

Agreed but apparently AR boasts 40,000 members? Imagine if any one of those could promote this film?

I put it on my Royal Kafue fb page and had only 2 that would share it?

Andrew,

Apathy is a huge threat to hunting and wildlife in Africa. If every person who read this thread took time out to send the link onto just two other people it would make a huge difference.

Manyathelo,

Appreciate that, thanks!

Dallas Safari Club is apparently going to be sending it out via there different outlets.

Joe Hosmer of SCIF has undertaken to do the following:

1. Working with DC office to do a Blog posting, Press Release, and email blast. This will include our email list of Outdoor Writers and others who may not be SCI members.
2. Our DC office will blast a link of the video to our ICCF contacts.
3. The SCI Foundation Conservation Manager and Communications person will write up a paragraph or two, to encourage connection to the 50 minute link.
4. SCI Foundation Social media outlets will blast this several times - Twitter, Face Book, Linked In, Word Press, etc. NOTE: I am doing this as well on my personal Face Book Page, Public Figure Face Book Page, CAMPFIRE Trust Face Book Page, Linked In, Twitter, etc.
5. Bob is in touch with Convention about adding this to the SCI Convention Hotel TV loop; shown at the Vegas Hotels during convention.

It has also been sent out to the sustainable use group of the IUCN, and we have had feed back from a couple of their members.

It has also been posted on the Safaritalk website.

I still believe that AR members could be more pro-active with this.

Manyathelo,

Point taken. I have just emailed Sally Bown of ZPHGA and Adri at PHASA. Perhaps Mich can contact the Tanzanian PH association and ask them to spread the word around?

Is there any Namibian PH on AR that could ask the Namibian PH association to do the same?

This is what I wrote if it makes it easier to cut and paste.

We have recently completed a movie on the elephant situation in Zimbabwe in conjunction with the Hunter Proud Foundation, Conservation Force, DSC and SCIF. The movie has been submitted to USFWS as a "comment" which must be considered before they make their final ruling on the importation of sport-hunted ivory into the USA.

We would really appreciate it if you could send the link to the movie below out to all of your members and encourage them to send it out to their own mailing lists. We need to try and generate some pressure on USFWS and so the more people that know the situation on the ground, the better.

This is the link. http://vimeo.com/user17366897/...116473289/88ae4be861

Can't thank you enough for taking the time and effort to put something like this together. I have sent this link out and is now my standard reply when someone asked me why I hunted for elephant.
