All reports is that Zambia is booked fairly solid with most good operators now taking enquiries for next year.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

You need to stop listening to the voices in your head. Virtually everyone I spoke with said the show this year was much better than last year in terms of bookings.

They weren't through the roof with the PH's I spoke with. Seemingly stymied as we all thought it would be "through the roof" with Trumps win. However, of 8 or 9 PH's I spoke to they told me that all business was repeat clients but no new clients. Hopefully this will turn around as the year progresses with positive financial news.

Hope my money counts as a 'return' hunter. Know they take it just as well.

I spoke with dozens of outfitters, many said they had the best show ever, anywhere. Others said they did very well, a couple were disappointed. Two of the "new" exhibitors said they sold nearly everything they had available and were beside themselves. I believe most everyone had a decent show but there are always some outfitters who don't do well for a variety of reasons...many times the reasons are not of their doing. I personally know several guys who booked either leopard or elephant hunts, or both, many of them in Zim, followed by Namibia. I didn't book any hunts but will in the next couple of weeks...too busy at the show.

I wonder if the value of money from a repeat would be any different to that of a new client - or are they implying repeat clients are a bore? coffee

rotflmo tu2 maybe the voices in his head drowned out the outfitters comments of general satisfaction. The ones I talked to were damn pleased.
