Researcher Carl Huchzermeyer who resides in the Bangweulu swamps sent me this picture of a young bull with exceptional horns. AR's Faisal and I convinced Carl to remove buffalo from quota for a couple of years to allow such Buffalo to breed and mature. Faisal took a very nice bull in 2015 but they were few and far between. It sounds like this herd needs to grow exponentially before it really becomes a viable hunting area for buffalo. I have read however that the black lechwe population has really bounced back? | |||
