Remember friends, this has now passed in Oregon and NEVADA...SCI and Beinfeld Antique and International Collectors Gun Show was concerned about the Nevada law and how it might affect vendors or if there would be attempted buys to trigger prosecution?? Didn't happen in January.
This is something that SCI and Dallas should litigate, I believe this is unconstitutional, it is ill-founded on lies about endangered Elephants, and Washington has a VERY flawed law on Initiatives signature gathering.... they collect signatures in the I-5 Corridor of Seattle, HIGHLY LIBERAL and this is a Warm Fuzzy thing...and once on ballot...everyone unknowingly votes it in...
Washington MUST change signature gathering for Initiatives by requiring signatures to be collected EQUALLY from ALL Counties in the State, ie a percentage of signatures MUST come from a representative collection from all voters, ie each county by population, NOT JUST Seattle Liberals...which is what Paul Allen's PAID signature gatherers focus...its easy money!!
WA also should make it ILLEGAL to PAY for Signatures...
Fortunately Paul Allen is GONE NOW!!
I am going to personally write to presidents of SCI and Dallas and ask them to directly respond to both the Head of Seattle/Woodland Park Zoo and KOMO news with the REAL FACTS about elephants...to set the record straight...Elephants are NOT endangered, and without hunting, poachers thrive!!...the Campfire program...
Please join me in contacting SCI and Dallas to respond/attack this issue in WASHINGTON!!

YEAH....and the Seattle uuunnninformed liberal restaurateurs are taking King Salmon off their menus.... to protect the Killer Whales!!
TRUE!!....NOT KIDDING!!
The GREENIES need to teach the Killer Whales to eat Sea Lions!! They are plugging aall of the spawning rivers and slaughtering ALL SALMON SSPECIES!!
Sea Lions are protected by the Federal Marilne Mammals Act!! That needs to be changed!!

These initiatives are an excellent example of why the electoral college is so important on a national level. Signature gatherers hit the big populations in largely homogenous King county and the poor sods in Stevens or Asotin counties pay the price.

Baxter , you hit the nail on the head. As an example, more of our hunting units are being designated 3 or 4 point units. This year 2019, they are eliminating anterless permits in Stevens, Pend Oreille, Spokane and Ferry counties. It would be O.k. if it was a resource protection issue but its not. Its an effort to provide more prey for the vastly increasing wolf population. WDFG says we have 127 wolves in the State with the caveat ( the red asterisk at the bottom of the page) says there may be over 200 + just in the 4 northeastern counties. Make sense ?????

There is no political representation East of the Cascades. If only we had an Electoral College.

Splendid! Do they know (or care) that the sage grouse living in the eastern part of Washington state are stressed and certainly threatened? Probably not. The sage grouse is a native species, but not a glamour species. It's easier to vote to protect animals half a world away than to deal with an immediate local problem.

Ho Hum.
