Greg BrownleeAnother big tusker taken in Botswana
Guys, took a while for me to get photos, but our client Dick Caruthers shot a great bull in Botswana in late April. The outfitter was Greg Butler, with Gareth Flemmix as the PH. This bull weighed in at 80x76 lbs/side, but here is the kicker: he had about 18" broken off of each tusk! This bull surely would have been over 90lbs/side, possibly even bigger! I saw these tusks when I was in Botswana a few weeks ago and they are huge. Both are 16" around about 2" from where the tusk is broken, so I can imagine there was quite a bit of ivory missing. Anyway, Dick is very proud of this bull, as he should be, so I thought I would post it up on AR. (sorry about the quality of the photos, I scanned the originals that he sent me).

Neil-PHBeautiful Ivory
IMO, totally outranks the long, thin ivory from East Africa. Congratulations.
