The meet and greet at the Giraffe Bar is good fun, no doubt.

However, would anyone be interested in trying set up an AR dinner for one night during SCI like is done in Dallas during DSC?

Thoughts?

COunt me in Will. I just found out I won't be at DSC- going on a cougar/lynx hunt with conflicting dates- so I am definitely in for a dinner in Reno...

I'll probably be in Reno this year, have a conflict with Dallas, so I'd be interested.

drwes...if it was shooting a springbok, it was me...if it wasn't shooting a springbok, it was probably still me Wink. I don't think anyone else in their right mind would want to use my name and be mistaken for someone with my accent!

I am just surprised that someone on this website hasn't already mentioned it. I was pretty sure it was you,, accent and all! I am in no position to talk about accents,,,I sound about as much as a bubba gump as anyone. I did enjoy watching the program,, I watch so many channels I couldn't remember which show it was on,,,There are other shows beside TAA and I gues since you shot all by yourself there was no controversy! good job

Anybody think about Wednesday night? Don't most of us fly in Tuesday or Wednesday so there are fewer people on the floor the first day of the show? I like to get out late Friday to avoid the crowds at the airport as well.

B Big Grin acked myself up when he got up stumbling when we were 100 yards closer...I definitely got "backed up" on the rest of that trip though and it had nothing to do with shooting!

+1 for Matt bringing good Australian beer.

I attended an AR dinner a couple of years ago that was put on at the Claim Jumper, almost directly across the street from the Convention Center. Worked out pretty well...lots of food as usual! They set up a long banquet type table in a semi-private area, I recall about 20+ attended??
The Quarter Century Society is simply a recognition of long term SCI members of 25 contiguous years or more, no breaks in membership. Call Eva Wilson at Tucson for membership details and application, which is a bio and photograph. So far they have only had gatherings at the Presidents Cocktail Reception at the Convention each year...about 5-6 years old...AND you get a 50cent sized pin to wear...you know SCI style!! She published a rooster in 2008...PM me and I can forward by e-mail if you would like to see it.

rhromm - FWIW this thread is talking about dinner at SCI Reno not DSC in Dallas. If you go to Dallas you will miss the dinner in Reno??

I'll be in Reno all four days plus Tuesday evening so the choice is up to others.
