safari-lawyerRENO SCI - Dinner?
The meet and greet at the Giraffe Bar is good fun, no doubt.
However, would anyone be interested in trying set up an AR dinner for one night during SCI like is done in Dallas during DSC?
Thoughts?

Tim HeraldCOunt me in Will. I just found out I won't be at DSC- going on a cougar/lynx hunt with conflicting dates- so I am definitely in for a dinner in Reno...

TerryRI'll probably be in Reno this year, have a conflict with Dallas, so I'd be interested.

drwesWhat are the Reno dates this year, yes I know I can google it and find it but,, this is easy just to ask. I saw a Tim Hearld on a hunting show in Africa this past week,, is that you? from kentucky?

Tim Heralddrwes...if it was shooting a springbok, it was me...if it wasn't shooting a springbok, it was probably still me

. I don't think anyone else in their right mind would want to use my name and be mistaken for someone with my accent!

drwesI am just surprised that someone on this website hasn't already mentioned it. I was pretty sure it was you,, accent and all! I am in no position to talk about accents,,,I sound about as much as a bubba gump as anyone. I did enjoy watching the program,, I watch so many channels I couldn't remember which show it was on,,,There are other shows beside TAA and I gues since you shot all by yourself there was no controversy! good job

LionHunterAnybody think about Wednesday night? Don't most of us fly in Tuesday or Wednesday so there are fewer people on the floor the first day of the show? I like to get out late Friday to avoid the crowds at the airport as well.

Matt GrahamWednesday night would be great if someone could organise it. I will buy a beer for everyone attending...
20 August 2010, 11:57
Hoot MurrayI am planning on attending. Any night would be good for me. Matt, instead of buying every one who attends a beer. Bring some of that good Australian Beer!

Tim HeraldB

acked myself up when he got up stumbling when we were 100 yards closer...I definitely got "backed up" on the rest of that trip though and it had nothing to do with shooting!

470EDDYI attended an AR dinner a couple of years ago that was put on at the Claim Jumper, almost directly across the street from the Convention Center. Worked out pretty well...lots of food as usual! They set up a long banquet type table in a semi-private area, I recall about 20+ attended??
The Quarter Century Society is simply a recognition of long term SCI members of 25 contiguous years or more, no breaks in membership. Call Eva Wilson at Tucson for membership details and application, which is a bio and photograph. So far they have only had gatherings at the Presidents Cocktail Reception at the Convention each year...about 5-6 years old...AND you get a 50cent sized pin to wear...you know SCI style!! She published a rooster in 2008...PM me and I can forward by e-mail if you would like to see it.

Larry Sellersrhromm - FWIW this thread is talking about dinner at SCI Reno not DSC in Dallas. If you go to Dallas you will miss the dinner in Reno??
I'll be in Reno all four days plus Tuesday evening so the choice is up to others.
