Whatever happened to Will?

I used to cherish his thoughtful, insightful and affectionate posts about important topics such as what sandal to select, how many triggers a double rifle should have, what brand of birdfeed is most helpful in attracting songbirds to the yard, or what gifts one should take for the local children.

Will's post describing his feelings and overwhelming emotions after shooting his first elephant still brings a tear to my eye.

Last time I contacted him (by email and some six month ago) he told me his health wasn't quite fine and would stay away from the PC for awhile Frowner...

I do really wish him a prompt and full recovery... a real gentleman, he helped me quite a lot - aswell as he shared selflessly all his vast and wide collection of articles, many of them digitalized by himslef...

One of a kind, Nickudu... a true friend beer

I seem to remember the same - did a search and could not find anything. I met him and chatted a while when he visited the DSC convention a few years back. He was a nice guy. As I recall he was selling his videos at the Outdoor Vision booth. I don't think he has posted since 2008. Confused

He's not been here for almost 2 years. A big guy who really liked his big bore rifles.

Miss his post also. Wishing him the best.

Nickudu is a great guy....I needed a magazine for a rifle and I couldn't' find one in Canada. He bought one and sent it to me, refused to accept payment....I hope he is well, whatever he is up to.

Heck, just the other day I was wondering what had happened to Gate House...

I missed all the back and forth bashing about his new wunderkind, the Ruger 375. I figured they must have him on Polar Bear control way up north.

What's up Buddy?

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
