The beginning of the rainy season, I understand. Is it too wet or too hot? The game extra spooky after being hunted all season? Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps. | ||

I'd say it'll be HOT. In 2003 we went the first of Sept. and some days were pretty warm. In 2004 we were in RSA the first week of Oct. and a few days it was up around 100degs. It also rained a couple of afternoons. ______________________ | |||

If you hunt when it is hot be very careful with trophies. If you just want skull mounts, no problem. If you shoot a nice animal and want to keep the skin in good shape, you better start skinning fast. I would try and go when it is a little cooler. | |||

I hunted Namibia last September. The mid day temp hit 115+ every day so we hunted in the morning and afternoons, avoiding 11am-2pm. We had a great hunt, but I would go earlier next time if I could.
