Enjoy and good luck. Wow! A full 4 months of hunting, how I envy you! Andrew McLaren Professional Hunter and Hunting Outfitter since 1974. http://www.mclarensafaris.com The home page to go to for custom planning of ethical and affordable hunting of plains game in South Africa! Enquire about any South African hunting directly from andrew@mclarensafaris.com After a few years of participation on forums, I have learned that: One can cure: Lack of knowledge – by instruction. Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it. One cannot cure: Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules! My very long ago ancestors needed and loved to eat meat. Today I still hunt!

Christophe, Sorry to hear 5that. I was looking forward to our meeting. I love being in Africa, regardless of where. But, LU5 is a fascinating place. It has many contrasting areas which remind me of several places in Zimbabwe. Best of luck my friend.

Christophe, we have hunted those blocks with Pedro. Je suis jalous. Mais, back in the day, as they say. When the blocks were bigger. Bonne chance, mon ami. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Thanks Aaron. Which area are you going? I am heading first to Ruvu Maasai block and Selous. Cheers

I am sure that's the case. The game lined the banks of the Njenje when we were there, and the Mbarangandu, too. More, smaller blocks is not a bad thing, not in game-rich country like the southern Selous. The good old days are now! Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

That should be good I suspect? I'm hunting the Lake Rukwa Game Reserve in August for a 3 week / full bag safari. I go back in February 2015 for a 2 week safari in Natron to hunt the mountain buffalo, leopard and some of the Masai land species I don't have yet.
