Greg Brownlee & PH Derek Littleton

When we had to cancel the his/her Leopard hunt we had planned for June of this year thanks to Joyce's cancer diagnosis and treatment both Greg and Derek immediately stepped up and volunteered we would not have to concern ourselves with lost deposits. Their only voiced concern was Joyce and her well being.

Both have now again stepped up and moved the hunt to 2015 with two Leopards on quota for us to look forward to.

This was wonderful news that created a small concern. I already had a Bull Elephant hunt booked with Buzz and CMS for late February.

Buzz Charlton

Buzz and CMS, who frequently is booked out well in advance, were able to work some scheduling magic and move the Ele to April 1-14.

That has given us the opportunity to hunt Zim, then follow with a Vic Falls trip, spend some time on the Indian Ocean in Pemba then drive into the Niassa with Derek.

Many thanks to you all for making this happen. Obviously I'm looking forward to this but more importantly Joyce is beyond jazzed about it.

Thank you men!!

As long as she's OK, all else is secondary. Good to learn you've got folks willing to accommodate and make it happen regardless of circumstances.

The rest of the story is just money and such. As long as the misses is going to be OK is good news! And it sounds like, if you are still planning hunts, she is. That's great!

Tru Dat Jon!!

I don't think she ever had a doubt she'd be fine. Last dosing of Chemo is scheduled 3/18 with Pet Scan to follow but she's already sure she's "killed the bitch cancer zombie bastards"

I believe her!!

That said she plans on filling the freezer with me this fall. She also has Bison, Sheep, and cow Moose draws to find out about late February. So Africa in 15 months is a distant dream.

When people refer to others as good operators it is because of examples such as these. Well done to all who are making this safari happen.

Glad to hear that. It sure is nice to work with great operators. My hunting schedule posssibly may change also because of my cancer. Arjun Reddy of Hunters Networks has been awesome. It's a big relief to be able to focus on treatment and not deposits.

True enough Andrew!! I think the use of the word "Operator", "Outfitter", or "Booking Agent" sounds businesslike. The folks I gave the shout out to mentioned above stepped up beyond business and willingly reached out.

We thank them for that!!

Glad to see that your lady has a positive outlook to her setback. Good to see that some folk around here are human and compassionate in their approach to business. Many pluses all round and the warm fuzzies to see it. tu2

That is what counts, her recovery!

It is no secret that hunting in Africa trumps most things, and no matter how much we love Africa, we love our family more.

When you book with quality people, you get quality outcome to just about any setback!

We are all pulling for her, and her positive thinking will work wonders in her recovery, and you having her back doesn't hurt anything either!

Good luck on the pair of spots down the road!

Jim,

I would have expected nothing less from these guys. In situations such as you and Joyce face a contract needs to be put on the back burner and a little compassion put in its place.

Wishing you guys all the best. Attitude is everything.
