What is this Bullshit about "native americans" they only reached North American first by crossing the land bridge from Asia and the "white man" reached NA via sailing the Atlantic. I don't think there are any "native americans". It is only a matter of who was first and then who was the strongest to secure the land and hold it until the new political correctness. Now the aim of the left is top have all humans a light copper tone!

The ANC is losing popularity due to ongoing problems with unemployment, schooling, crime, and in contrast their high lifestyle and their flashy cars. So this is how they are dealing with that political problem. It's a short-term solution that will come back to haunt them, as the agricultural and hunting sector falls flat on its face. None of those guys are western-trained economists. They don't understand how a market economy works. They are idealogues, just as the Nats were idealogues. Between these two ideologies, a country with bright prospects is being flushed down the toilet. Except the folks doing the shitting and flushing feel 1% of the pain (or even some pleasure!), it's the hardworking taxpaying citizens that have to eat the shit.

EricD & any others.

One would be (very naive or uninformed) if they were to think that any land in South Africa would not be open to a possible land claim. ALL people anticipating buying and selling land in SA will know that, it goes without saying.

I can ONLY repeat myself again. Until a formal claim is officially gazetted the land is legally and morally open for sale or purchase on the open market worldwide

That does not preclude the owner from advertising the land on a willing buyer willing seller basis. Anyone in business will always do due dillengence prior to any sale and that applies across the board not only to land

BwanaBob had it right: Neanderthals never did live in Africa -- they were strictly European. That's a part of Bob's joke.. (good one) Modern humans in Europe pushed out the native Neanderthals, so Europe should go back to the Neanderthals, and all the commercial profits since then, too.

And can you believe it, RSA was elected to the security council of the UN.

It was also on the news today that the SACP applied to be regitered as a political party. Maybe that is the first crack in the ANC, SACP and COSATU allience. Maybe that will break the stronghold the ANC have on the politics of the country.

The black comunities are also getting fed up with all the crime and lawlesness.

I pray that things will turn for the better in our country

Jaco,

I think you're right about there being a broad base of complaint ( http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/News/0,,2-7-1442_2009103,00.html http://allafrica.com/stories/200610050441.html http://www.sundayherald.com/58516 http://www.sabcnews.com/south_africa/general/0,2172,136569,00.html ) -- question is, where is good leadership going to come from? Anybody with the right stuff stepping up to the plate?

Dan
