In addition to the great gift of a gathering of healthy family members I received a wool and mohair saddle blanket and custom headstall for my horse among other items. My family knows I usually take care of the firearms stuff myself Big Grin

Like JKS my family knows I take care or myself where firearms are concerned. My daughter is doing great at university- only one year to go. She brought her boyfriend home for the holidays- sleeping in seperate rooms and seperate houses until they graduate and make it official.
My son is exhibiting his paintings and drawings at a local gallery and he has a new job doing graphic arts which is his love while getting into grad school to become a university professor.
My wife is feeling great and although the weather is terrible for her health conditions she is keeping it to herself and not nagging me to move away from this gorgeous country I love.
And! I bought myself another Westly Richards 318 accelerated express rifle in the barrel takedown version. All in all a great season.
And, I had a chance to give thanks for my life and to share with those a little less fortunate than myself as well.

Schmidt & Bender 3-12x50 L7 which my wife allowed me to buy myself with my own money. She's pretty good like that sometimes....

My wife got me a Beretta Gunner 6 hunting coat
(very nice indeed). My employee's heard how much I enjoyed shopping at Beretta's in NYC they got me a Beretta gift card. I bought myself a Damascus fixed blade knife that I couldn't resist when I saw it. I wrapped it up and my kids give it to me for Christmas (we know our kids didn't have that much money) Wink.

No good deed goes unpunished.

No hunting gear this year but, for one of my other passions in life....

My wife bought me a Jiffy Model 31 3hp 10" Ice Auger.

Jiffy Model 31

Beats the hell out of chipping holes with an ice chisel.... Smiler
