If the restraurant across the street is a Pappas BarBQ, then I personally think Pappadeaux (seafood) is a little nicer, a little more upscale. Pappas BarBQ restraurants are just your basic BarBQ places, nothing fancy but they are certainly okay. I also think there is a better chance of getting a private room or private seating at Pappadeaux versus Pappas BarBQ. Pappasitos, another restraurant in the same chain, is another good option if folks are in the mood for Mexican food and magaritas.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

I can't make it this year, but "Pappadeaux's Lombardy Lane" is the tradition. I would hate to see it broken.

If you've ever been to that little resturant oasis off I-35, you'd be damn pressed to find an empty parking spot an any of those Pappas resturants! I don't care which one, as long as we get together!
