Gentlemen,

I thought I will give you a recap of these loads.

Only ONE round was fired with each load, as we did not have enough bullets to do a complete load development.

We will do that as soon as we have our new lathe operational.

Norma brass, Federal 215 primers and 405 grain Walterhog bullets. Over all cartridge length was 3.680", and the velocity is measured on a Oehler 35P chronograph, about 12 feet from the muzzle.

I almost hate to post, lest I open up a war on case capacity or some other such bull$h&t, I know some others have loads and velocities using Varget and Re 15. These are the powders that I have in abundance. Would you guys with this data please post it? Thanks.

Are you trying to open a hornets's nest?

I will post our Varget loads later today, and try some Reloader 15 for you.

Saeed,
How can you get 2600 with 4350, I have been advised by all manner of experts on this board that 2600 FPS cannot be done without total world destruction!! dumb ole Camel jockey!

Now don't all you nay sayers get your bowells in an uproar and mad at ole Ray, he is just goughing you a little in fun!

Ray,

I have just fired one round with 75 grains of Reloader 15 and got - I think - 2304 fps.

I will try a few more tommorrow.

So now we have two powders that have actually exceeded 2600 fps, and some that came pretty close.

I think I only have about half a dozen or so bullets left, and will try them tomorrow and post the results here.
