My daughter and a friend will be in Joberg on the 1st of September and need someone trustworthy to show them the sights for five or six days. Who offers this kind of photo sightseeing safari and how much would it cost? They would like to see some parks and animals. I know some safari operators wives do this sort of thing but no names come to mind.

I have several good PH's gunny who are members here. They are off hunting but I will contact them and be glad to pass their replies to you. I've had several clients do just that; photo safari/vacations.
Cheers,
David

My wife and I spent several days in/around Kruger Park. We stayed at the Tremisana lodge. Nothing super fancy but very clean and good food. We had a great time taking thousands of pictures on the Canon Dig SLR. You might check out this website:

After a week of hunting a friend and I went with Bushveld Safaris for a week. Laurence took the two of us to a variety of places - 2 days Kruger, Sterkfontien where australopithecines were excavated, the Voortrekker museum, a couple of villages, one huge eco park, a cheetah breeding facility.... He customized the tour for me, and as I recall it wasn't too expensive. Several hundred dollars with rooms and food inclued. I see him at SCI once every other year or so. He did a great job.

The girls are interested in a Joberg pick-up and tours for five to seven days. They then would like a drop off near Port Alfred where they can stay with friends,is this possible?
