From William Tyndale's courageous translation of the Gospel of Luke, from the original Greek, in 1534:

"And there were in the same region shepherds abiding in the field and watching their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord stood hard by them, and the brightness of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid. But the angel said unto them: Be not afraid. For behold, I bring you tidings of great joy that will come to all the people: for unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour which is Christ the Lord. And take this for a sign: ye shall find the child swaddled and laid in a manger."

I believe this to be absolute truth. How could there be more joy than in celebrating this blessed event that winter night in ancient Bethlehem? Ponder this and then try not to have a merry Christmas! I wish this same sense of joy would descend upon the hearts of all, now and forever ...

Smiler

As to 2018, may it be a harmonious and peaceful one under every roof!

And a very Merry Christmas to all!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Merry Christmas!

Remember - it is a birthday for a baby who is unique in all of history -

According to Luke the physician in his gospel - Chapter 2, verse 11 - "Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you, his the Messiah, the Lord."

Wise men still seek him.

Merry Christmas!!
