Ivan, Guy sent me some of the pictures. Looks like it was an awesome experience but my reply to Guy was that it also looked way too damn cold for me. To be hunting at 14,000-17,000 feet with temperatures hovering around zero and having to dress up to look like the Michelin Man, I think I will stick to hunting in tropical climates thank you. That said, looked like a beautiful sheep and the ibex looked great too. Congrats, hope your feet warm up and you get feeling back in your toes!

Wow. Nice trophy Ivan. Congrats. I just might do this hunt soon. I do well at high elevations, but my feet get cold quick due to frostbite (my big toes are permanently numb).

Okay Ivan, you shoot a big bore NE double all the time, what's the deal with the muzzle break on your sheep rifle? Surely you can't be recoil shy. Wink

It must be that the recoil is magnified in the altitude! Just kidding. Excellent work.

funny men re the muzzle break - amazing how when you practice practice practice it makes all the difference - out to 300 yards no worries if you remove it , thereafter impact starts to change a little , the ruger folks have made a barrel "weight" that is equal to the muzzle break and keep the barrel harmonics the same so you can unscrew the break and and put on the weight making it very very close to the same point of impact even out to 700 yards....

Apparently the flinch doesn't seem so bad if you close your eyes when you shoot!
