I found a new production M70 Supergrade in 30.06. It looks NIB and has had a trigger job. It is priced at $750.00. Is that a good deal? + 150 Posts - Lost password in last switchover

$600 would be a good deal but $750 is not out of line.

If it was made in 1952 then it would be a good deal

I sold mine a few months ago. It was a current production Super Grade with the David Miller designed stock. Piece of SHITE! Inaccurate 3-4 inches, crappy finish, crappy wood to metal fit, crappy everything. It was pretty from across the room and they used a nice piece of wood. I will never own another current production M70 that hasn't been worked over, rebarreled, and restocked!

I've got 3 current production M70's and love them all. A 270 Fwgt, an '06 Supergrade and a 300 Win Supergrade. All function well, and though finicky about bullet weight, will group my reloads inside an inch. Really like the pretty wood on the supers. Good rifles.
