May rank as one of the oddest questions ever placed on here but Joyce and I will be in the lower 48 in our truck camper and could perhaps swing by the convention for a part or all of it.

Has anyone ever been in Vegas in a camper/RV situation?

Does the convention run shuttle buses from Circus Circus?

The "White Whale" (the truck camper) is certainly mobile and we could camp off the strip and drive in daily but I would really like to avoid that.

Love to attend SCI once again to see some folks and talk about some African hunting. DSC does not work for us timing wise.

Any knowledge on the topic is appreciated.

As far as I know, SCI does not run shuttles. Are you able to jump in a cab?

You have to find one off an interstate though otherwise the tractor trailer noise will keep you up.

Does Mandalay Bay charge convention attendees for parking?

I stayed in Circus before
RegulR bus go s all the way to Mandqlay just for few bucks
Also walked it few times

Frostbit: No. Most of it is covered parking , however, so not sure you could get your rig in!

Valet parking!

Try calling the convention center and ask if you can park in their lot. I would think there are a few exhibitors that do that.

Consider using Uber, typically more efficient and cheaper than taxis.

There are tons of camp grounds in the area.

Are you retired military? Nellis has a campground?

Have a look at staying at Sam's Town RV Park that is on the Boulder Hwy. They run complementary shuttles in to the Strip, Freemont St. etc.

Shaved it once Brett got to see it after Mozambique. Once Anton said I looked like Walter White I figured I'd better dump it.

I second the Sam's Town recommendation. We stayed there for a week last fall and had a great time. Large onsite casino, movie theatre, restaurants,etc. As I recall the shuttles to the "strip" were scheduled every half-hour and are free. Large camper area, security. Wiggling around downtown with a pickup/camper is a PIA!

This is why I love AR. Thanks for all the "inside info".
