Just reading on FB that PH Jason Bridger of Tholo Safaris was electrocuted while building his new house and has passed away. What a tragedy. Such a nice guy. A real gentleman.

Can't believe it.

My cousin and I had the pleasure of doing a hunt with Jason when he was still with Kananna Safaris. A great guy. Rest in peace.

What a great guy.

This is truly tragic news. I feel so bad for Claire and little James.

Jason was a well read and rounded individual. I often told him he should not be a ph. He came from a family of professionals.

He got into the ph occupation because of his love of the outdoors and wildlife. He was a city boy.

He was also a true rifle nut - he liked studied understood his rifles.

I will really miss Jason. I was whatsapp communication with him nearly every day. We were supposed too hunt in the next few weeks. I was looking at buying the plot next to his.

Life is not fair. This is a real tragic event.

What terrible news - Jason was a super nice guy. I recruited him to come and work with me at Kananna while I was for a time there. This proved to be a wise decision - he was liked and respected by everyone. My thoughts and prayers to Claire and family.

Wow, this is a tragic shocking loss. I've never met Jason, but had followed his success going back to his Kanana days. Seemed like everyone respected him as a great young PH and fine person. Thoughts and prayers for his family.

I was fortunate to hunt with him on two safaris and spend time with him and Claire. We booked a lot of hunts together at Kanana. We are surely losing a great one here.

So sad to hear this. His grand parents or great grand parents were Kiwis.

Spoke to him a few times while planning my Africa trip in 2014.

A very highly reputed PH who owned Kanana in Botswana before it was put up for sale.

Hunted with Jason at Kanana in 2012 and at Tholo this year. He was not just a PH, he was my friend. We chatted all the time, at least monthly since 2012. I am heartbroken for Claire and the kids.

Hunted with Jason twice. Visited with him @ SCI each year. Planned to have him at my home and play golf this winter at my club in Arizona prior to SCI.

Life is so short. Step away from your computer and go to your family. Right now. Do it. Embrace them. Tell them you love them. Do it. Tell them. Now.

GOD Bless Jason and his family.
