Good day

Well, the 2007 hunting season is over for this journalist. My season culminated with a fantastic hunt in Chewore, with hunter Ray Vandever and PH Richard Tabor. I shall be submitting a full report on that hunt at some stage. I shall also be submitting reports on Jimmy the rhino and other happenings as soon as I get more organized. To all you Jimmy fans out there, I'm sorry for the lack of update, I have not been at Humani for quite some time now. I shall make ammends soon. I have included a fairly recent photo of Jim with Ray Vandever below, for your interest. Incidentally, he is thriving.
Whilst I continue to procrastinate about making all these reports, here is a selection of recent trophy pictures for your interest.

Good hunting to you all

Dave

Great pictures. Roger does have some of the best bushbucks and leopards around and Pete Wood really knows how to put you on them, although Shorty is one of the best around also. I went with Pete last year and my entire family had the time of our lives. However I think Pete really likes to hunt Buffalo the most but he really likes shooting those damn bushpigs.

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

DavidC, The leopard weighed 160 pounds, I am unsure what the skull measurement was. That is a 17" bushbuck at the top. PH Thierry Labat has had extraordinary success with bushbuck this past season, guiding his clients on to three 17"+ trophies. Last year one of his clients took a buck that went 18.5". Ray Vandever's buffalo bull (black and white photo towards the bottom) measured 40" with 14" bosses.

Thank you for all the positive comment.
