You need to be sneaky about this. Tell her just how much it means to you, and how proud you are to have her in the family, and give her yours. She'll love you all the more for it.
Then go on another safari and get a new one for yourself!

Yep, thought about that one. The sad thing was I was in Namibia Oct. 08 & declined to shoot a zebra, as I already had a rug & mount. I still may do just what yo said though.

Call Mike at Lyons and O'Haver in San Diego. 619-697-3217. They're one of the top taxidermists in the USA--and may be able to help you out. I have no connection with them other than the great work they've done (and my check book!)...
Fred, PM me, I have a couple and will let you have your pic, let me know what your budget is. Have to do it quickly though as I am leaving for 3 weeks on Sunday. Or it can wait until I get home.

I planned ahead that way. On 1st safari planned on a zebra for girlfriend's daughter. She's now my step-daughter and if she ever leaves home "Larry" will be going with her, and I can go get another one for the wall.

There is a guy in the DSC GAme Trails newsletter selling zebra rugs, felt-backed and non-felt. He quotes that prices range from $650-$1250. His name is Bryan and phone is 214-763-1227.
I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.
