Guys - See the message below from my buddy Dwight Van Brunt, of Kimber Rilfes! I thought I remember someone on here dealing with another someone that was able to help locate a lost shipment, etc? Dwight is a good friend of mine, and I would hate to see him lose his trophies, in particular the huge buffalo he shot last year! Any help or suggestions you guys can give would be much appreciated! Thanks - Aaron

Aaron,

I have a trophy shipment from Africa that includes my 51-inch Cape buffalo, lost at Heathrow. Any suggestions on how to apply pressure and get it found and delivered? I think what I really need is a big shoulder to push against British Airways and CopperSmith.

Ideas?

Anything you can do would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dwight

Aaron,

They need to contact the vet inspectors at LHR ASAP who will almost certainly have snagged it for faulty paperwork (smudged date stamp etc) or not being given the required 24 hours notice of arrival at LHR.

These vet inspectors at LHR are notoriously paranoid about foot and mouth and are also largely anti hunting....... and completely a bunch of utterly merciless bastards.

They usually give the option of the shippers returning the consignment to the country of origin at the shippers cost or they incinerate the consignment at LHR......... and they don't give much time for anyone to make a decision on which of those options to take.

It's NEVER a good idea to send raw trophies to or through the UK.

Hook,
That is cold blooded!
Better yet, call Linda Adams for how to whine for a year and blame everyone else. Maybe that will help.

Lhook7 is wise.

I am knower and controller of all things shipping. Permits, agents, presidents of small countries set aside all more important things and wonder at my power.

You have apparently angered the shipping god. He has cast a shipping spell that will not be broken without my blessing. For I have power over all things shipping.

Perhaps in the future, you will understand this I have control over everything to do with everyones shipment. I decide if it leaves, stays or is to be destroyed!

Learn it, live it, love it.

Peace.
