I'll be in Reno thursday and friday and ACGG on saturday. This is my first time there. What exhibits, booths, seminars, etc... should I absolutly, positively, make time for in my schedule. What is your favorite part of the show. Thanks Elmo Barnes Booth 1500 hrs Fri.

If you feel worthy, make a pilgrimage to David McKay Brown's booth. After dropping to one knee and kissing his ring, he will allow you to delicately finger his Dickson action sxs and o/u double guns, shotguns the way God intended. Take a towel to wipe off the sweat and mop up the drool. Sarge Holland's .375: One Planet, One Rifle . . . for one hundred years!

I hear ya Sarge! Unfortunatly, they have rules that keep trash like me at least fifty feet away, at all times from DMB's booth. They video'd me pickin' my nose with my white gloves on, and got a restraining order On the other hand, my buddy Dale Tate will be there showing his Hammer Doubles and he lets me get within ten feet of his booth. ( If I promise not to say anything) I spent all my lunch money last year on an AyA #2 round action 12 bore, that Dale fitted me for and ordered from Spain. That's as close to Shotgun Heaven as I'll ever get. Elmo

It well established in most university departments of comparative theology that the Almighty shoots a matched pair of Purdy hammerguns, circa 1898. This is only partially correct as He uses them strictly for driven bird. For "walking up" over the combined souls of every pointing dog since the dawn of time, I have it on good authority that, under an assumed Name, he now uses a DMB with exhibition grade Circassian walnut and Celto-Viking engraving to go with His version of the Book of Kells. I hope to join the activity some day. Sarge Holland's .375: One Planet, One Rifle . . . for one hundred years!

Old Sarge I had heard a similar story about God, Purdey, and driven game. I think, there was also something about a pair of Boss Over and Unders for grouse in the butt. Not too sure though, as it could have been someone else.

Don't miss the ACCG show at the Silver Legacy. It's a little out of the way from the convention center but you'll see American made firearms every bit the equal of the fine English & Continental made guns. quote: A slight misunderstanding, I am afraid. The correct story is that if you use an over and under for grouse, the Boss will kick you in the butt. Regards, Martin ----------------------- A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition. - R. Kipling
