What's the availability of Red Lechwe and Tsessebe in Botswana? I would really like to hunt these two species but have had a difficult time locating outfitters in the regions that these two animals occur. (I've received a flat-out "NO" from one and have yet to hear back from another.) I know I could go to RSA but they seem to be considerably more expensive there, the Red Lechwe is not endemic to RSA and that kind of matters to me, and I'd love to see the Okavango Delta or Chobe.

Any advice on who to contact and how to proceed would be great.

don't know about Tsessebe but red lechwe are about as common as impala in the Okavango. saw tons of them when hunting with Greg Butler safaris in their Delta concession. Although it is primarily a DG area, there was no shortage of plains game. you can email Kelly( Greg Butler's wife- she runs the business side of the company) at: sls@info.bw. they are both great people and run a first rate safari company.

We offer them in the Okavango for:
Lechwe: License fee-$200 Trophy fee-$750
Tsessebe: Lic-$600 TF-$750
Of course you would want to book a plains game hunt and I wouldn't take less than 10 days if you want to be choosy about your trophies and hunt other PG. Email me if you want more details. GH, David

Mark Kyriacou offers them in the delta also. He can be emailed at: MK.birdsaf@worldnet.att.net.
I have hunted the Delta 3 times with his outfit and have enjoyed each trip. Come to think about it, I've taken them on each of my trips.
