I know I am going to get flak from this video.

This guy has been discussed a lot here and I do not agree with his way of doing things.

There is a couple of times here where the hippo almost got to him, maybe on of these days a miss fire will be the end of him.

I don't know who the guy is or why you would take flack but even with lots of back up this could be very bad for his health. I have dealt with some not too friendly bears and can tell you there is no room for errors. Regards

Considering the prices of his DVD's, I bet Mark will not be too happy to know that so much of his footage is on the internet, for free.

Fancy shooting and impressive charge stopping no doubt...(despite the MS 'honor shootings' and long waits until coup de grace)

But man, shot after shot, after shot, after death after death set to Motely Crue monster truck red-neck rock on easy to to access You Tube videos is the LAST thing hunting, hunting as a management tool and African conservation needs!

Those who know better can deal with it but I always cringe when I see these vids on-line! Read the comments...yes we don't need to appologize one iota for hunting BUT in a world of shrinking hunter and shooter numbers and over 6 billion of us, we need to be diplomatic and use some tact to enjoy our actvity uncriticized.

No reason why you should take flack Jakkals, you just posted a link!

One thing I've got to say despite the MS syndrome. There are some major buffalo in those videos!

Man, some of those hippos got VERY close!

There are those that do, those that dream, and those that only read about it and then post their "expertise" on AR!

Very unlikely I am afraid.

As he only videos those wounded and staying in the open.

For every clip you see, there are several others where the animal goes into the bush and hides.

It is left to die a miserable, and slow death., as he does not have the balls to follow it in there.

Apparently the excuse used is "we won't get a good video of the charge"!

Showing them on Youtube is not the problem.

The problem is WOUNDING them on purpose, and then letting them "choose how they wish to die" is a black mark against us hunters.

Interesting to watch the large number of kills. People always claim Sullivan is shooting the clients animals for them, yet there are a fair few charges in those scenes showing bullets hitting the beast and/or gunsmoke yet Sullivan hasn't fired yet. The camera is on him however and you usually only see his shot being fired.

Have a look again.

and you know this for a fact? Or you are just guessing?

Seems that a number of these charges are in pretty heavy cover.

God that is awful music...

Unbelievable footage. I certainly hope he doesn't wound animals just for the sake of videos.

At any rate, it takes balls to wait for an animal that big to get that close before you shoot.
